BibleEase

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how BibleEase collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the BibleEase mobile app and related web pages.

Effective date: March 23, 2026

1. Scope

BibleEase is a Christian mobile app that offers Bible reading, audio narration, AI-generated Bible story experiences, saved favorites, reading and listening progress, quote sharing tools, and optional paid subscriptions.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the app, we may collect:

  • Account information, such as your user ID and, if you sign in with Google, your email address and basic Google profile data.
  • Guest account data created through anonymous sign-in so you can use the app before linking a Google account.
  • Story and preference data, such as selected language, tone, complexity level, audience type, saved defaults, favorites, generated stories, and recommendation preferences.
  • Usage data stored in your user records, such as reading history, listening history, timestamps, favorites, reading session data, listening time, and progress totals.
  • Subscription and purchase status information returned by our subscription provider to determine whether your paid features are active.
  • Device and app information that may be collected by third-party services we use, such as mobile ads, subscription management, authentication, storage, and app update services.

3. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect

Based on the current app configuration, BibleEase does not request microphone recording permission. We also do not currently request camera access, contact access, or location access as part of the core app experience.

4. How We Use Information

We use information to operate and improve BibleEase, including to:

  • Create and maintain guest or signed-in accounts.
  • Sync favorites, generated stories, and reading progress.
  • Generate Bible story content and Bible narration experiences based on the chapter and settings you choose.
  • Provide daily recommendations and saved story defaults.
  • Process subscriptions, restore purchases, and manage access.
  • Support quote image and video export, sharing, and downloads.
  • Display ads in parts of the app available to free users.
  • Maintain app security, stability, and updates.

5. AI-Generated Content

BibleEase includes features that generate Bible story content from selected chapters and user-selected settings such as language, tone, audience type, and complexity. These generation features are delivered through our backend services and may use third-party AI providers to create the requested content.

We design these features to generate Bible-related storytelling content, but AI output may still contain inaccuracies, omissions, or phrasing you do not agree with. You should not rely on AI-generated content alone for doctrinal, pastoral, legal, medical, or emergency decisions.

6. Permissions and On-Device Storage

BibleEase stores some information locally on your device to keep the app fast and preserve app state. This may include session data, query cache data, app preferences, and settings such as whether export notices were dismissed.

If you choose to save quote images or videos to your device, BibleEase may request media library or photo access for that action. If you deny that permission, download-to-device features may not work.

7. Third-Party Services

BibleEase currently relies on third-party services, including:

  • Supabase for authentication, database, and backend functions.
  • Google Sign-In for optional account linking and login.
  • RevenueCat for subscription and entitlement management.
  • Google Mobile Ads / AdMob for in-app advertising.
  • Expo and related app services for updates and platform features.

These providers may collect or process information under their own privacy terms. Where those providers act as separate service providers or independent controllers, their handling of data is governed by their own policies.

8. Sharing of Information

We may share information in these situations:

  • With service providers that help us operate BibleEase, such as hosting, authentication, subscriptions, AI generation, ads, and storage vendors.
  • When you choose to share exported quote images or videos using your device's native sharing tools.
  • When required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, security, or the integrity of the service.
  • In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, sale of assets, or similar transaction involving BibleEase.

9. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the app, maintain user accounts, enforce usage limits, process subscriptions, resolve disputes, and comply with legal or operational obligations.

When you delete your account through the app, BibleEase currently removes the authenticated account and deletes user-linked records from our account-related tables, including reading/listening records and saved story preferences. Some story content entries may remain in shared content tables if they are not stored only as account-specific personal records.

10. Children's Privacy

BibleEase may be used by families, but purchases, account linking, and account management should be handled by a parent or legal guardian where required. If you believe a child has provided personal information in a way that should be removed, contact us using the contact details or store listing associated with BibleEase.

11. Security

We use third-party infrastructure and standard technical measures intended to protect data, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure. You use the service with that understanding.

12. Your Choices

  • You may use BibleEase as a guest before linking Google sign-in.
  • You may stop using the app at any time.
  • You may delete your account from the settings area if you are signed into a non-anonymous account.
  • You may manage or cancel subscriptions through the Play Store or App Store subscription settings.
  • You may deny optional permissions such as media library access, though related export features may stop working.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date on this page. Your continued use of BibleEase after changes become effective means you accept the revised policy to the extent permitted by law.
